Round Rainbow
of Flims, Switzerland, between Segneshütte and Startgels.
after my last visit to the Segneshütte in the morning, skiing down under a beautiful blue sky and below a Fog Sea or Mer de brouillard oder Nebelmeer, this amazing Round Rainbow, a rainbow in a full circle! started to show up. i have never seen something like this. these Photos are not edited, are not done over with Photoshop, I could have taken 100's of them, it was so impressive.
So I googled for Ask A Scientist and Ask A Scientist says:
A rainbow is round because the process is based on angles. Light from the sun hits the little water droplets after a rain. The water droplets act
like little prisms. Different colors are sent out at different angles. The
sun must be behind you.
but the sun was in front of me, in the center!
does anyone know the answer?

Segneshütte
Direkt an der Graubergpiste gelegen, ... Die Segneshütte gehört mit Baujahr 1899 zu den ältesten Berghäusern der Region. Ein Historischer Bau. eines der echt gemütlichen Bergrestaurants im Skigebiet, sehr gutes Essen und Kuchen. Sehr empfehlenswert.
How to get there:
I freeski there, going up by chair to La Siala, then freeride down the Vonn, no marked ski run there, pretty steep, great danger of avalanches:
then you have to walk 20 to 30 min
and then: Hallelujah, what a comfort, what a sight, what a food!
